Is it necessary to contract a nature guide?

For your safety and benefit, we recommend contracting a qualified guide for Cajas National Park. If you do not hire a guide, you should report in to one of the control stations before beginning your hike. Tell them the route you will be taking and your names. If you are with a group of eight or more people, it is obligatory to hire a guide.

What supplies are necessary to visit the Park?

Walking shoes, raincoat, sweater, hat, sun-screen, water, food with calories (sweets, candies, chocolate).

What supplies are necessary to spend the night in the Park?

In addition to the previously stated ítems: tent, portable grill, sleeping bag.

What is the currency of Ecuador?
